How are you financing the $58 million? Will my power price go up to cover the cost?
We are financing this development through our usual funding arrangements and there will be no increase in its distribution prices to customers as a result of this project.
How many new GXP of this size are built every year?
On average across Aotearoa New Zealand around one new GXP is connected to the Transpower network every year. The last GXP built on the Orion network was around 40-50 years ago.
How are Orion's customer numbers growing?
On average we see around 2 percent growth in the number of new connections to our network every year. In FY22 we had more than 4,200 new connections.
