We are seeking feedback on proposed changes to Orion’s network pricing design from April 2024.
Our purpose is to power a cleaner and brighter future with our community. Through pricing we seek to influence customer behaviour to shift load away from times of constraint on our network to minimise the cost to serve. By shifting load and reducing peak demand, we can use our network more effectively and reduce the need to build more network. This ultimately saves our customers money.
Time of Use pricing
Consistent with our Pricing Roadmap, we propose to introduce new residential Time of Use (ToU) pricing from April 2024. We held four online engagement sessions with power retailers in August 2023 to share Orion's ToU structure and prices. You can view the slide deck from these presentations here.
